MOSAIC

Minds on Science Activities in the Community

The MOSAIC project is designed to engage area youth in STEM activities, promoting positive attitudes towards STEM and build in 21st century skills that cross all subjects.  The theme-based activities are fun and teach content outside of the traditional classroom setting.  Students dissect, build, experiment, demonstrate, investigate, and learn in an inquiry-based one hour curriculum.

MOSAIC is currently partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of East Alton and Bethalto and the Southern Illinois Gifted Education Alliance where activities are run as an after-school program; with the Center for Educational Opportunity of Troy and S.S. Peter and Paul School in East Alton as a supplement to in-school instruction; and with the Leu Civic Center of Mascoutah where it serves a home school population.
