The STEM Center sponsors a wide variety of public activities:

• Science Olympiad- regional competition
• Science Research Challenge - regional judging event (formerly known as Science Fair)
• Odyssey Science Camp- 2 week summer camp for grade 2-8.

• MOSAIC – Science enrichment activities for K-12 children beyond the classroom.  Also includes pre service science teacher training.
• STEM Showcase – Presentation and demonstration of STEM Center resources and materials for school districts or teacher groups.  Focuses on the range of resources available, lesson possibilities and Next Generation Science Standards.

• Upward Bound – Partnership with the East St. Louis Center to provide project based STEM activities to participants.
